At mid-morning on Saturday the baishada deth tronc (lowering of the trunk) will begin. The men of the town bring down the haro, a fir tree trunk 10 to 12 meters high, from the forest and carry it in their arms to the town square, precisely named Plaça deth Haro. During the journey, some establishments offer bearers a drink of sweet wine and typical Aran pastries.
At noon the haro will make its entrance to the Shasclada in the Plaza de Les, where a popular meal will be held. There the trestles will be ready for the shasclada, which consists of stripping the bark and opening it, with wedges driven in with a mallet so that it dries well and can be burned during the night of San Juan, on June 24. The party will end with a concert and dance in the square.
